A VoIP number uses an internet-based phone service for communication. Its appearance does not establish its SMS, calling or verification capabilities. In DualLine, personal second lines, service-specific OTP numbers and mobile eSIM plans are separate products; choose by the communication or verification task. ## Match the number to the task 1. Personal communication An eligible second line provides a separate number inside DualLine. 2. One verification Choose the intended service in one-time codes. 3. Mobile connectivity An eSIM plan supplies the data and carrier features stated in the package. A similar-looking phone number does not mean that these products have the same features. ## How internet-based calling works VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. A compatible service carries communication over an internet connection rather than tying it to a traditional physical phone line. For an app-managed line, reliable internet and the supported app are part of the setup. The service and selected number define which calling and messaging functions are available. ## Use a separate number for personal conversations A personal second line can help keep everyday and occasional conversations apart without replacing the main SIM.
