Keep your number. Make room for a second line.

A DualLine second line gives you a separate number for personal communication without replacing your physical SIM or everyday phone number. Manage messages and calling where available in a separate space on the same phone.

What is a second line?

A second line is a phone number assigned to you in the DualLine app for manual, personal and non-commercial one-to-one communication under a recurring subscription. It does not replace your main SIM; it works alongside your everyday number. SMS and calling capabilities vary by country, provider and selected number.

How people describe the need for a second number.

The search does not always begin with “second line.” These different questions can lead to the same kind of solution.

I do not want to give my everyday number to someone new.

For supported communication sent through your selected DualLine line, the recipient sees the DualLine number. DualLine does not disclose your main number to the recipient as part of that communication.

  • How can I text without revealing my phone number?
  • Can I use a separate number for a listing or community conversation?

I want another number without losing the one I already have.

Your main line stays in place. A DualLine number is managed separately in the app and does not require a physical SIM swap.

  • Can I use two numbers on the same phone?
  • Do I need another phone for a second number?

I need a separate communications space for a limited time.

Use a separate number for a personal project, occasional private sale or defined period. The subscription is managed through your store account and renewal can be cancelled.

  • How can I get a temporary second number?
  • How do I stop renewal after the conversation is over?

I want to keep different conversations from mixing together.

Each eligible DualLine line has its own inbox, history and settings, so conversations can stay separate without rebuilding your phone setup.

  • Can personal conversations have their own inbox?
  • Can I manage more than one second line in one app?

I want to try receiving a code without sharing my personal number.

A compatible service may send a code to a DualLine line, but no third party is guaranteed to accept the number. If you only need one attempt, the one-time code product may fit better.

  • Can a second number receive an OTP?
  • Should I choose a subscription or a one-time number for one code?

I am travelling and do not know whether I need a second line or an eSIM.

A second line provides a separate number for communication. A travel eSIM provides mobile connectivity on a compatible device; calls and texts are included only when the package explicitly says so.

  • Does a second line include mobile data?
  • How can I use data abroad while keeping my main number?

The same phone, with a separate line.

Common questions about second numbers.

Does a second line need a physical SIM?

No. The DualLine number works inside the app. You do not need to remove your main SIM or port your everyday number. An internet connection is required.

Does DualLine disclose my main number when I communicate through a DualLine line?

For supported communication sent through your selected DualLine line, the recipient sees the DualLine number. DualLine does not disclose your main number to the recipient as part of that communication. Your device, the receiving service and information you share separately remain subject to their own settings and terms.

How many numbers can I use?

Eligible plans support up to three lines per account. The entitlement and live availability shown in the app determine what you can add.

Can a second number receive verification codes?

It may work with compatible services, but each service makes its own acceptance decision. No WhatsApp, bank, payment or other verification result is guaranteed.

Can I use the number for my business?

No. A DualLine line is for personal, non-commercial one-to-one communication, not sales, support, promotion, bulk or automated traffic.

What happens to the number if I cancel?

Renewal stops and access normally ends after the paid period. Recovery depends on the current terms, any protection window shown in the app and provider exceptions.

Does a second line include mobile data?

No. A second line is a number service. Travel data requires a separate eSIM package.

Can I call emergency services?

No. DualLine is not an emergency service. Keep access to a traditional phone service that can reach emergency services where you are.

Choose a second line with its limits in view.
