Check the phone you have
Confirm eSIM support for the exact model and sales region. A model-family name or an EID does not remove a carrier lock or establish every network's compatibility.
Open the delivered eSIM in DualLine and keep its installation information available. Use a reliable internet connection while the phone downloads the profile.
Choose Samsung or Pixel instructions
Samsung Galaxy phones commonly place eSIM setup under Connections and SIM manager. Pixel phones use Network & internet, SIMs, Add SIM and the eSIM setup option.
Menu wording changes with software, language and model. Use the branch for your device rather than matching another manufacturer's screen.
Use the QR or manual method
Scan the private QR from the delivered order when it can be displayed on another screen. If you are using only this phone, choose the manual method supplied with the order when your phone offers it.
Copy the provided activation information exactly into the fields requested by the phone. Do not combine details from different orders or use a general QR found online.
| Situation | Useful method | Check |
|---|---|---|
| QR visible on another screen | Scan the delivered QR | Correct order and clear image |
| QR only on this phone | Provided manual method or supported image/link option | Phone and delivery support that option |
| Profile already listed | Enable and configure the existing line | Avoid installing a duplicate profile |
Set your line preferences
Enable the new profile and choose the travel line for mobile data when you want to use the package. Calls and texts can remain on the home line or use a package that includes the required capability.
Apply the travel package's roaming instructions, then check home-line roaming and automatic data switching separately. A data-only eSIM does not acquire carrier SMS or voice by becoming the data line.
- Give the profile a recognizable label.
- Turn on the travel line when appropriate for the package.
- Choose it as the mobile data SIM.
- Review the default calls and texts line.
- Check roaming and automatic data switching.
Connect at a covered destination
A successfully downloaded profile can remain without a network until it reaches a covered destination. Compare the location, package start policy, validity and remaining allowance before troubleshooting.
If the line has no service or data, identify whether the failure is installation, network registration or mobile internet. Keep the installed profile while checking the relevant stage.
Your take-away checklist
- Confirm exact model, region and carrier lock.
- Open the correct delivered eSIM.
- Connect to the internet for installation.
- Use Samsung or Pixel's own settings path.
- Install with the supplied method.
- Choose the intended data line.
- Apply roaming per line.
- Check validity and coverage before testing data.
Common questions
Are Android settings the same on every phone?
No. Samsung, Pixel and other manufacturers use different paths, and software or language can change menu wording.
Can I install without Wi-Fi?
Installation needs a reliable internet connection. Existing mobile data can be an option when supported; being completely offline is different from not using Wi-Fi.
What if the QR is on the same phone?
Use the supplied manual details or a supported link/image method. Otherwise display the private QR on another screen you control.
Does the data line also receive SMS?
Only when that eSIM package includes the required SMS capability. A data-only package supplies internet.
Can I keep my primary SIM?
Yes when the phone supports your intended active-SIM combination. Review call, text and data preferences separately.
Why is the profile installed but not connected?
Check the covered destination, activation timing, line enabled state, data selection and package instructions.
