Before opening SIM manager

Check the exact Galaxy model and sales region, including any carrier lock. Confirm that the intended package covers your destination.

Keep the delivered eSIM information accessible and connect to the internet. Read the package's validity-start rule so installation happens at the intended time.

Add the delivered profile

Samsung's setup path is in Connections and SIM manager. Some versions call this SIM card manager and Add mobile plan; others use Add eSIM.

Choose the QR or activation-code option available on the phone. An automatically assigned carrier plan is a separate method; do not select it simply because it appears first.

  1. Open Settings and Connections.
  2. Open SIM manager or SIM card manager.
  3. Choose Add eSIM or Add mobile plan.
  4. Select the supplied QR or activation-code method.
  5. Follow the phone's confirmation screens.

QR and manual installation

If the QR is visible on another screen, scan the private QR for the correct delivered purchase. Keep it readable and avoid sharing it publicly.

For manual setup, enter the activation information supplied by DualLine using the phone's field labels. Copy the full requested value rather than reconstructing a code from memory.

Choose data and roaming

After installation, enable the travel line and select it for mobile data when you want to use the package. Review the preferred calls and messages SIM separately.

Use the travel package's roaming instructions. Check automatic data switching and home-line roaming so the home carrier does not unexpectedly carry travel data.

If Add eSIM or mobile data is unavailable

A missing eSIM option can reflect the exact device, software, carrier restriction or regional version. Compare the phone's details with Samsung's support information before purchasing another plan.

If the profile is listed but data is unavailable, check coverage, validity, data selection and the package's APN/roaming instructions. Keep the profile while investigating.

Your take-away checklist

  • Confirm your Galaxy model and sales region.
  • Prepare internet and the correct delivery.
  • Read the start policy.
  • Open Connections and SIM manager.
  • Use the supplied QR/manual method.
  • Choose the mobile data line.
  • Check calls, messages and roaming separately.

Common questions

Why does my menu say Add mobile plan?

Samsung menu names vary by software and region. Use the eSIM-addition option inside SIM manager.

Can I use a QR on this same Galaxy?

Use a supported image/link option only when both the phone and delivery provide it, or use the supplied manual details.

Does every Galaxy support eSIM?

Support depends on the exact model and regional version. Check the manufacturer's details for your phone.

Should roaming be on?

Apply the selected travel package's instruction to its line, and review the home line separately.

Will deleting the eSIM cancel the package?

Deleting a profile does not by itself cancel a purchase. It can also affect reinstallation, so keep the profile while troubleshooting.
